how long to wait to meet with online dating?

i have been emailing this guy i met online (at the personals) for the past week, 1 or 2 long emails a day. he responds and everything. how come he doesn ask for my number or ask to hang out already? we have exchanged many pics and everything and he is very complimetray with everything…i mean, wouldnt he just stop emailing if he didnt want to eventually meet? we only live 15-20mins. away?

You probably need to follow your instincts here. There has to be a reason why he doesn’t want to meet. He may already have a g/f (sorry)

Speaking from a guy’s perspective, maybe he is simply waiting for YOU to make the first move. He could be thinking this exact same thing. Try asking him over your emails whether or not he would be interested in meeting, or calling you. This might entice him to bring out his more personal feelings. Hope all works out!

Give the boy a break, its only been a week. You two are just getting to know each other, and he’s probably not sure if he wants to meet in person yet. Give him some more time, like another week or so. After that, you can bring up the idea yourself if he hasn’t.
