What do this means in terms of emailing my resume and their required format?

MS Word document, specifically with the .doc extension?
I’m suppose to email my resume to a potential employer and I’m sorry however I don’t understand what they mean by specifically with the .doc extension. If you can shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance……

The .doc extension is the standard file extension for a plain vanilla Word document. If you’re using a computer running Windows and have prepared your resume using Microsoft Word, that’s probably what you have.
