Met him online, what should i do now?

I met him on a online dating site, but i was only looking for friendships ( bad past relationships). Anyway, I started talking to this guy for over a week now, like everyday. He’s busy with his band so he goes online late at night and i’m a day person, we email each other. I gave him my number in my second email to him, but he just keeps emailing me, but they are pretty long ones. We kind of flirt and he told me I should visit his city to see him play but he wrote that only in passing. So, is he interested in a friendship or is he taking his time building a relationship? P.S. he is only looking for long term relationships. Tragically, i’m going into the military in 3 months to texas and I haven’t told him yet, what should i do, i’m starting to like him?

Go visit him and see where things lead and tell him that you are going into the military and if he still likes you and wants to continue talking with you then great. If he doesn’t want to then get over him and move on with your life and you’ll find another one.
