OMG Someone Hacked My Email! Please Help?

Okay so everyone on my cantact list has been emailing me saying that I sent them something about shopping in China. But I never sent that to anyone.And also all of my contacts are gone! I think someone has hacked into my account,and they could figure out where I live and stuff. This is really creepy. Anyway I changed my password, will that keep them out? Has this ever happened to anyone else? Please help, and thanks in advance:d

It should keep them out yeah. I would look up a e-mail spam and hacking protector just in case

yeah changing your password is a start … if your still really scared, delete that e-mail address create a new one.
