What did the LIve Earth show make you aware of?

Was it the need to address global warming? If so, couldn’t that have been done much more effciently by a mass-email and direct mail campaign where everyone would be told why we need to address global warming? How about giving everyone free copies of Al Gore’s book and movie? Wouldn’t that have been more effcient than 22 hours of music mixed with statements like If you want to save the world, jump up and down!?
If you learned something more specific, what did you learn? And, were you unable to learn that from a quick google search?

There are some people out there who are doing more by their extremisim to hurt the cause than to help it.

I agree totally with your view point. I also believe that our present day science technology can resolve the problem of global warming, if resources now being squandered on the likes of ‘Live Earth’ could be channelled into reasearch on Artificial Photosysnthesis, similar to the way nature has all along been balancing the carbon cycle in natural photosynthesis. I hope the scientific gurus are reading this for their response.

How hypocritical global warming advocates really are. I heard a stat today that the carbon footprint of the concert alone was the equivalent of 9 developing nations for the same period.
And that even though the single most significant contributor to CO2 emissions, i.e., cattle, burgers and other meat products were sold there.

i think live earth shows the hypocrisy of those on the left. i wonder how many private jets were used to whisk these performers around the world for their 20 minute set, how many gallons of fuel were burned to light up these hippie jam fests? maybe the reason libs hold humans in such disdain is because all the look at are their own lice cover dope smoking hippie friends. id think humanity was a scourge too if i thought everyone was like these liberals.

What did the Live Earth show make you aware of?
Very simple, it has shown that a lot of money and political power can be gained by turning Global Warming into a Religion, stupidizing the masses.
That’s what it was and nothing more or less than that.

I learned that if we do not do something that our children will be in a world that they will not be able to survive in or they will not want to survive in. I also do not want to die knowing i have left this world and have not done anything for future generations so my kids can tell my grandkids that their grandma did something for them and that she did everything she could to give them a better life.

Live Earth is no more than a video clip on CNN Headline News to me. For most of us who are already trying to do something for the Environment, Live Earth is not necessary. However, I think it serves the purpose to make more people aware of the theme. What they plan after the concert is more important than the concert itself. Q. Are there anything planned?

It made me aware that Madonna is getting old.
I don’t think 10 million tons of junk mail is the answer either.
Please remove me from that mailing list.

That celebrities are as self absorbed and self important as ever.

That shakira can’t do live…
That most actors just read their lines and had no passion about the cause.
That the ideas on the flash screen were pathetically small.
That today’s popstars are not only talentless but thick and clueless.
That when the world is burning we shall react by having a party and pretend that we are saving it!

Just how stupid the young, and green community is, how some people think that feeling that you are doing something is just as important as doing something. Way to Go Al
