If I received an email and the ‘To’ field has the sender’s address, does this mean it was a group/mass email?

Also, my own email address does not appear in the To Field.

Thank you for your help everyone.
While my email address does not appear in the To field, it is not spam email. Its from a friend so I know it was intended for me. I was just curious as to whether it was only sent to me.

Thank you

    yes kind of
He used bcc blind carbon copy
To to shows his address on every ones e-mail
And every address in bcc gets a copy without showing you everyone Else’s address
It’s nice to you that you don’t get a cluttered e-mail
And it’s privacy for all the other e-mail addresses

That’s how spammers get some of there addresses
