Could I take legal action against someone who wont stop emailing me?

I recently broke up with my girlfriend and now her new boyfriend keeps emailing me after i have told him to stop repeatedly. Is there any legal action i can take? Nothing he has said were any threats, its more of just a nuisance.

So block his emails! Ask the provider how. Or change to a new account with a new email address.

Can’t you just block his email address? I thought all email accounts had that facility.

Just mark him as spam. Then don’t reply to him. He will lose interest if you just ignore him. Like an infant that wants attention.

most e mail services have block that you can put into effect to keep them from coming thru……I would try that before I got into a legal hang up

report to the police and the email service provider keeping record of all the emails and emails that you sent to him to tell him to stop the email and keep all email that would have continued after that…for doing any reporting to authorities

Why bother making a fuss about it? Just block his emails so you don’t even see them.

Harassment, contact your local police dept., and ask them for help. If threats were made, this issue should be reported.
