Should I ask him if he really likes me emailing?

Cuz I’ve made that before with him, and he didn’t reply with an answer like if he don’t care. But when I do email him he always replied back and very friendly.
I know by now he’s not interested, I’ve being emailing 4 a year now and we’ve become friends, but if I don’t email him he won’t initiate contact. Except for the time he was moving and send me along with a BCC list he was moving and letting know his new email address.
We’ve always being away from each other, and met 2 times only…
Should I ask him or just continue emailing? Is it worth it?

swell i think asking him out,
can make things weird for y’all friendship,
(but you should found out who he likes, get one of your friends to email him.)
