Can anyone give me some advise on emailing resumes?

I have my resume saved the way I like it, but when I go to email it the format is all messed up. It runs together and it looks crazy.
I’m a uni student in SA and want to know how to earn cash either online or elsewhere. No affiliate programs

i live and go to Flinders Uni. Don’t want any affiliate programs with emailing letters and start up joining fees. Private investor for transferring money possibly? Guinea pig to trial new drugs at hospitals? Anything simply that i can work on after uni hours. If you have any bright ideas you think would suit please let me know, it would be much appreciated, thanks.
What should I write when emailing references to a potential employer?
Posted by admin | Filed under Financial Services
I was asked by a potential employer to send my references via email. Do I write a letter? Or do I just shoot a Here are my references, thank you for the call? I have never been asked to email references, I’ve always just attached them to my resume and given them at the interview. I am new to the email reference ettiquete.
When emailing a resume what format should it be, and problems with Word?

My word document has the grid lines from formatting on it. I tried to merge, but then my format changed completely. I tried to send it as a regular text file, and the format changed then too.
It was originally formatted on a Mac, now I have a PC. Do I have to start over? I really like the way it looks now–I don’t like how it looks when it gets reformatted, it’s too hard to read.
Can I send a targa or jpeg? The company doesn’t specify what format it should be.
A recruiter mass emailed a job posting mistakenly with my name in the body?

Is it acceptable to email my old bosses instead of calling them?

I’m currently interviewing with a company that is planning to hire me after they finish a background check. As part of the background check they will be contacting all the employers listed in my resume.
Is it okay to warn my former bosses via an email instead of calling them? I have a couple of reasons for emailing instead of calling.
1.I can avoid awkward “catching up on things” conversations
2.I can poise my thoughts better in an email
3.It’s simply easier
4.If I call, I may get voicemail instead of the actual person. I don’t want to have to leave an awkward voicemail message.
On the down side, emailing is less personal and may not leave as good an impression. What do you think? Is emailing acceptable?
