Can i use a nintendo ds as a laptop for online use?

I wanted to get a nintendo ds to use for traveling and stuff as a laptop but i wanted to know would i be able to use it online for aim and emailing and searching the web and ebay and all that kind of stuff. and will i have to buy a wireless card for it.
