Are we becoming disconnected from each other through technology?

It seems like people are zoning out on iPods, cell phones, playing on the internet (like me right now) or just texting each other all the time. Too much on-line chat, too much Skyping, video chats, emailing, interactive on-line environments, mmo’s, and the list goes on. What about creating an innovative way for people to interact in PERSON with each other?

Global Warming?

When do you think people will actually start caring about the world??

And when do you think factories will stop polluting the air…

AND when will there be no more war!!!!!

these questions trouble my earth loving mind..

God gave us this world.. Why destroy it…

please send this to all your friends on your emailing list

I am doing an online technical writing internship, and the lady mentioned that if I had transportation I could

I do not have a car and am unable to drive, nor do I know anyone on whom I could rely for transportation at such short notice. But the lady under whom I am doing the internship just sent me an email and mentioned that if I had a car or transportation that I could go to events with her, but the events would often be on short notice, e.t.c., and I just know I am not going to be able to do that because I do not have reliable transportation (and the bus is not reliable because it only comes at certain times, only goes certain places, and you never know how long it will take to get from point A to point B, not to mention that I can’t afford to keep paying for the bus). So what should I tell the lady? I just don’t want to sound like I am not willing to do things…how can I tell her that I really don’t have the means to be able to travel to events, but still be polite about it? Like just what exactly do I say? Keep in mind that she emailed me, so I would be emailing her back.
