how do i block someone from emailing me?

this person has harass me and threaten me but the cops cant do anything about since its online though yahoo i been blocked him on YIM but now he is emailing how can i stop this without deleting my account?
Is there any way to know if I am on someone’s buddy list?

I want to block someone from emailing me. I heard that if I am on their buddy list, the block will show. How do I know if I am on their buddy list?

i put some people on my ignore list and block them from emailing me but every time i log into yahoo and check my ignore list their name are not there and they keep im me and i ask them not to im me and they keep doing it and also they want me to put them back on my buddy list and i told them no to leave me alone and they keep bother me and won’t stop thats why i need yall’s help. please help me to i even got them as spam and still doing the same help me i don’t what nothing to do with them and to leave me alone thanks

A black box where my display picture should be?

When I select a picture other than my avatar to be my display picture I get a big black nothing.
Here are all the things I have already tried and do not work, so please *do not* suggest them again or tell me they worked fine for you because that’s not helpful:
- Left it alone (with the attempted picture posted) and left it for over 24 hours
- Turned off / on picture sharing
- Turned off / on options in Preferences — Display Image
- Selected a stock photo to display
- Selected a personal photo to display (bmp jpg)
- Deleted contents of picture avatar cache
- Restarted Yahoo Messenger
- Rebooted Computer
- Upgrade / Uninstall / Install Yahoo Messenger
- Reinstall / Uninstall / Install Flash
- Checked MS Virtual Machine settings
I will also be emailing this to Yahoo as a defect in their software because there is no way displaying a picture should be this complicated, or this difficult to get assistance on.
