I am confused as to what to do. I am an adult SWF.This guy from across the pond has been emailing me since Feb. We met online only. It has been so fun, and we emailed often for the first few months. He has been to the US, but can’t visit right now. I told him a couple of months ago I may be able to visit him. The arrangement would have been completely safe, because I was planning on travelling with a group and met him in a safe environment. Now I may not be able to visit so soon. I was going at the end of the year. I have thought of changing my mind because of finances and I have a family obligation at that time. I have not told him yet because I’m not sure. About a month ago, he told me he had a singer in his band that he was romantically involved with before we started emailing. He just sends one liners now , and not very often, but he hasnt stopped completely. I appreciate his honesty, but I’m not sure where I stand. I just don’t know what to do, and I still want to meet him. Help!

This guy I met almost 2 years now. We met only two times in person and then he moved so we kept communications by email. First, I emailed him and he replied always. Then, he sent me notes sporadically, but I felt was more polite. Until, I called him and we heard each others voices that we got more personal.

Now, when I email we start doing this back and forth like almost chatting. It was fun. Can we start to develop something here?

I used to know his password to his email, but he has changed it since I found out he was trying to make a date with another woman. Is there a way to find out what the new password is or how can I see who he has been emailing?

When we met online I knew he was moving where I live to attend school, so I figured I could do this long distance thing. Anyway, he is coming here soon and now I’m a bundle of nerves. We have developed a strong connection over the phone, and I worry if it will be the same in person. Any ideas on how to ease my anxiety about meeting someone I have been talking to for 2 mos? I feel like there has been too much build up……..

I need your advice. I have been dating this guy for a couple months now and during our first couple dates, we decided to be open with each other and laid all cards on the table regarding past relationships, etc. He had mentioned his ex and how much he never wanted to speak to her again, and how much he hated her. But, then I realized that he had blocked her on facebook bc they have mutual friends and her name kept popping up everywhere on other guys wall posts and her pictures would be with other guys. Then, I saw in his email that if she sent a mass email, it would be the first -and only thing he opened. When he complained that he didnt want her emailing him, I asked if he wanted to block her emails, he ignored that, and kept complaining about how she won’t stop trying to talk to him. When I saw them around each other, I saw him lingering around her -she was minding her own business- but he had a problem with her pretending she didn’t know him.What’s going on? Is he over her?
You guys have all confirmed what I was thinking. I found this file on his computer (it was on his desktop) where he had an online conversation about her for 3 hours to someone he didnt know. In that were mixed emotions – I miss her and sometimes I want to talk to her, but I **** her and never want to talk to her again. I just told him that I wanted to talk to him and he is ready to talk- will keep you guys posted.
I just saw the question about how long they were together. They were together for 8 months, and HE BROKE UP WITH HER summer of 2002.

Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me. I am new to the world of online dating. I met a guy online taht I knew a few years ago at school. We have sense went off to do our own things but recently refound each other onlien. We were never really friends, more of aquiantances, we knew each others names and said hi and same classes but thats about it. Anyway, to the question, hes been emailing me for about five months now. I thought at first it might be something, now i’m not so sure. all are simple emails, hi, how ya doin, whatcha doing, etc. Nothing much else. I’ve always responded with simple answers, because my life isn’t particularly interesting, and its not like I go bull riding once a week or anything. So its usually a nothing much or same ol same ol type answer. I know its stale but I am so not sure of a good answer. Any help wouldbe appreciated. I dont know what to say to him, but I don’t want him to get bored with my boring stale answers. help! any suggestions ?

My fiance and I have been together for a long time and have been engaged the last year.

Anyway, I stumble upon her email account looking for an old email address and I find a large list of emails from another man. She has only briefly talked about meeting this guy while she was on vacation but the substance I found in the emails seemed to be extremely personal. She mentions nothing of me and avoids telling him of my family and has written things like, I wish you were here, when can you come, I miss the company, I can’t wait to see you again. They share the exact same beliefs etc.

The final thing that worries me is that they have talked about the memories they share at a specific area they were at on holidays in a secret discourse. I am going completely insane, I don’t know what to think considering she obviously is avoiding or hasn’t told this guy that she’s in a relationship we me. ARRGH, what the hell do I do???? I don’t understand because there is nothing wrong with our relationship, why would she even consider keeping her option open or maybe she thinks she’s found something better than me.

Should I confront her on this or wait and see what happens considering he is not in the country????
