McAfee – Usless!?
I have mcafee installed and everything updated. I’ve scanned and it;s found nothing wrong.
but..
My browers is hijacked – every time I select alink from google it takes me to an ad ware site. McAfee SiteAdvisor is kind enought to tell me its an ADWARE site but can’t find the bug that has hijacked my browers.
also i’ve got some winlogin.exe thing that is emailing spam out constantly. Its good enought to tell me that some of the emails can be sent, who is sending them – winlogin.exe but the stupid pice of crap can’t figure out its a virus!
How to I get this misirable piece of software to detect adware and fix my winlogin.exe problem!

want to maintain online word doc?

i need to update a word doc from home as well as office daily. very cumbersome to keep emailing it to myself and replacing twice a day. anyways i can do this online. tried google docs but that allows only upto 512 kb.
the stuff has a lot of tables. any format that can support that is fine. 10 points! and thanx in advance!
Can you copyright something by emailing it to yourself, the same way you can copyright by snail mailing?

So I know you can copyright anything by snail mailing it to yourself and not opening it. I was wondering if you email your self something, (like to an email account where all the mail is kept online, like gmail) would that prove copyright too?
I mean, it seems to me, that the google’s (or microsofts, or yahoo’s) servers, should hold up as well in court as a postmark date stamp. But I don’t know for sure.
As a side question — if emailing wont work, could I just mail myself a piece of paper with the md5sum’s of the files I want to copyright, along with their size and name.
As another side question — is there any sort of website, that will digitally sign a file, in a way that proves the date it was signed with an email address, linked in the signature to prove identity?
I think I will settle on the email for now. It’s just two short tracks I made. And My email provider is Gmail — so I am quite sure, that my email will still be there 5-6 or even 10 years from now. They may have deleted server logs, about the transport of the email, but the email itself, and all the headers, and the attached files, will remain in my gmail box until I delete it.
Would it be better if I showed this to my mom insead of emailing her?

I was going to email her asking her for it, but then I thought of showing it to her. Which do you think would be better? But before I do send/Show it to her I was going to make a list of reasons why I should have it. Reason List’s usually work better.
