After emailing a resume, how many days should I wait before following up?

I am in Michigan and it is a tough, aggressive market. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough jobs to go around. I was thinking a week, but maybe 3 days instead? What is the protocol? I thought maybe I could send a followup email after 3 days, then call if I don’t hear? But if I call, how many days should I wait? Help!
I don’t want to come across as pusy, desperate, or aggressive. But, I do want them to remember me and to know I am interested.

.com I’ve found quite a few jobs but I’m leery about emailing my resume with my personal information; ph#, address…etc, etc. Has any one used them for job purposes before and what would you recommend? Omitting this information for example. Or can I trust this site. (I’ve bought and sold vehicles thru them but that’s it). Please give me your opinion, thanks.
