I met him on a online dating site, but i was only looking for friendships ( bad past relationships). Anyway, I started talking to this guy for over a week now, like everyday. He’s busy with his band so he goes online late at night and i’m a day person, we email each other. I gave him my number in my second email to him, but he just keeps emailing me, but they are pretty long ones. We kind of flirt and he told me I should visit his city to see him play but he wrote that only in passing. So, is he interested in a friendship or is he taking his time building a relationship? P.S. he is only looking for long term relationships. Tragically, i’m going into the military in 3 months to texas and I haven’t told him yet, what should i do, i’m starting to like him?

I have met a girl online (eharmony). We finished the introductory questions and now have been emailing each other for the past few days. As it ends up, we went to high school together, but did not know each other all that well. How long should I wait before I ask here for her phone number?

There were a ton of red flags from the start, but I didn’t think there was any harm in emailing back to her. After a few weeks this person now wants me to send money through Western Union to Nigeria to help pay for the school certificate to be released or something like that.

Anyway, is there someone I could forward the email to and have someone from law enforcement go to the address where the money is supposed to be sent? I’d like to send this Nigerian scammer who preys on lonely guys to jail.

I met this girl online a week ago on a website where I posted I was looking for friends. We’ve been emailing each other everyday for the last week, and I’ve gotten to know her a good bit, she knows quite a lot about me. I’ve seen her picture, and she’s very pretty. She lives about 30 minutes from me. Yesterday, she gave me her phone number to text her if I wanted and we’ve started texting eachother.

I have exactly zero relationship experience, never dated, and I know it’s only been a week. I’m not expecting a full blown relationship within the next week, but I was just looking for advice, because I kind of like her from the emails, and I don’t want to mess it up. I know to be myself and take it slow. I just don’t want to seem too aggressive, but at the same time, too shy.

I met a really nice guy online a few weeks ago and we have been emailing one another since. We haven’t met yet due to schedule conflicts but it hasn’t stopped us from emailing. My concern is when I went back online I see that he has relisted his profile the last two times it has expired. My question is should I be upset by this? Why do guys do this when I thought we were hitting it off so well? Also, should I be doing the same? At one point I had met five different guys but it seems like he is the only one willing to make an effort in keeping in touch. So tell me how should I handle this? Any guys’ imput would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Here’s m,y situation – I am with my bf for 3 and half yrs now and have known him for 5yrs.
We had rough patches the last three years but always got back . Some of the times we’ve had a fight wud have been coz of another girl and coz he got caught chatting, phoning, emailing or meeting someone he randomly he met in a club or online.
With that said, he recently found a girl on craigslist (as per him in strictly platonic listings) coz he says he wanted someone to talk to. Someone who could tell him the girl’s perspective. It has been going on for months now but now we have no problems..it’s been good but he still chats with her everyday. And last week when I actually saw his chat window pop up he threw some lies at me like school friend then a facebook find and eventually told me the above story. He says she’s just a friend he talks to and said sorry again adn tht he wouldn’t do it again. But i started to think finding a girl online for some reason or the other is almost his habit he cnanot break free from.
Even if its just a friend, I feel bad and feel like he breaks my trust repeatedly doing this stuff, lying and hiding. When I asked him, he says tht I’d never understand the concept of finding a friend online so he lies and hides.
what I wnat to know is if I am overthinking or if this is common ?
He talks about moving in with him and marrying and stuff and these things surface and I am soo confused. I just don’t get it. Please if any of could suggest or explain what could possibly go on in a man’s head, I will sincerely appreciate it.

We’ve been emailing back and forth for around 7 months now. I’ve always really thought of him as an email buddy and nothing more because we live so far away but now he has proposed to visit me. He lives in another state. I told him yes without really thinking it through. Now i’m thinking it could be dangerous. I think i know him enough. He seems like a really nice guy and is very understanding but who really knows with online people. I’ve never met anyone from the internet before so i’m really nervous about this. Should i meet him or not? Could he be a dangerous ****** or something? I have not talked to him on the phone yet, just email. I think it’s too late to back out because he has already bought a plane ticket and i would feel really bad for sabotaging this whole week of vacation that he has planned for us to spend together. Tell me what to do!
And yes, he is coming just to visit me. Meeting him in a public place is a good idea but stupid me! I agreed to pick him up from the airport so even if we do meet in a public place i’ll still have to drive him to his hotel. I may just be too paranoid due to horror stories because I do think he is a very nice guy but i’ve also heard never to turst someone from online. Please give me more replies. P.S where can i buy mace? lol
