Hi, I’m hoping someone can help me. I am new to the world of online dating. I met a guy online taht I knew a few years ago at school. We have sense went off to do our own things but recently refound each other onlien. We were never really friends, more of aquiantances, we knew each others names and said hi and same classes but thats about it. Anyway, to the question, hes been emailing me for about five months now. I thought at first it might be something, now i’m not so sure. all are simple emails, hi, how ya doin, whatcha doing, etc. Nothing much else. I’ve always responded with simple answers, because my life isn’t particularly interesting, and its not like I go bull riding once a week or anything. So its usually a nothing much or same ol same ol type answer. I know its stale but I am so not sure of a good answer. Any help wouldbe appreciated. I dont know what to say to him, but I don’t want him to get bored with my boring stale answers. help! any suggestions ?
I feel like a moron having to go online and ask you all, but I really really dont know what to say. I’m horrible at small talk, and have little experience with flirting. I’m challenged, lol. Thanks for any help you can give me.

when dating online how often should you be emailing after 5 months of daily notes? Used to be 7 times or so a day and now its dropped right down. Plus no phone calls either. He says he is busy but am I being stupid hanging around, wondering wishing? He is so darn nice and supportive ofmy work (from afar) and has sent me the most considerate gifts (not pricey just considerate and thoughtful) which I have never ever had happen. In the past year I ended a 15 yr relationship so I wonder if I am just hanging onto a hope with this new fantastic guy and he just does not how to get rid of me nicely. Or am I being too analytical and should be ok with just quick notes here and there and be happy with that. *sigh* love sux

I’m just curious. He says he is looking for something long-term and seems genuinely interested in me. We’ve only gone on two dates but talk a lot. I haven’t been on there since I first started emailing him, but out of curiousity today I got online to see what he was up to. He’d logged in two days ago. I’m just wondering what the etiquette is on this.
When I logged onto today I also deleted my account, not because I’m putting all my eggs in one basket. Just that I’ve met a couple people who weren’t what they said they were and there were a lot of ******** on there too. I’m a busy working girl and don’t want to keep up on it anymore.

I met Someone online and weve been emailing back and forth for about a week. But in the last few days i havent heard anything from him, the last Email i recieved he said he was sick but i haven heard from him since. Our Emails were totally normal, nothing wierd or strange. he was actually super sweet, but now nothing… Should I write him very casually? Should I just leave him alone? Shoud i expect to hear anything? Or Should I just move on from the whole thing?

so I’ll be emailing people and they email me back but it takes them so long to respond. It will show that they’ve read it and then they don’t respond until a day or 2 after they’ve read it. I don’t know why they do this because I’m cuter than pretty much every person I talk to.

When making the first contact, what to write? to have my email stand out!!

This guy that I approached on an online dating website almost three weeks ago still hasn’t asked me for my number or to go on a date. So I told him after day 12 what is his purpose on match if he is not going to go for it-he told me that he was going to take his profile down-then once January got here he said women started winking and emailing him–So even though he knew that he was going to be extremley busy in Jan and Feb–he left it up anyway–I kept talking to him–I think I am into him–then yesterday–I started reading ‘he’s just not that into you’ and everthing about this guy went against anything the book had to say about men–so I emailed him and told him the following–I take back being your friend again, What was I thinking? I thought you had potential with me–too bad–good luck–then he sends me this email saying that he was going to ask me for my number that day–and blah blah, I told him-yeah after you got my email you say that now–then we ended up talking on instant
messaging and we talked for like two hours and he still never asked me for my number–I feel like I want to get to know him more, but I do not want to become friends with him over emails and then **** him when I meet him—So I do not know what to do–I need opinions from men and women–thank you so much
by the way he has like 12 pictures of himself on his profile–I think he looks great!
