When should a man delete his online dating account after meeting someone?

I’m just curious. He says he is looking for something long-term and seems genuinely interested in me. We’ve only gone on two dates but talk a lot. I haven’t been on there since I first started emailing him, but out of curiousity today I got online to see what he was up to. He’d logged in two days ago. I’m just wondering what the etiquette is on this.
When I logged onto today I also deleted my account, not because I’m putting all my eggs in one basket. Just that I’ve met a couple people who weren’t what they said they were and there were a lot of ******** on there too. I’m a busy working girl and don’t want to keep up on it anymore.
How long should you talk to a guy online before meeting?

I find many times when I am emailing a guy online that they pressure me to meet right away (for example make first contact on thursay and meet on saturday). I personally like to exchange some emails for a few days before meeting someone. I think a week is good. I have met guys in a couple days before only to find out within minutes something that they didn’t mention in our brief emails. GUys think I am playing with them but I am just being cautious like you are advised. Why can’t guys understand that? Why is it that when it is something they want, they rush it but if it is something a woman wants, like committment, they slow down?
I am 40 years old. I am cautious and guys think I am a player if I don’t meet with them within a couple days. I just like to ask enough questions to weed out the bad ones. If they don’t answer a question for example, i delete them.
I haven’t got any other way to meet guys. Where I work there really aren’t any and as far as church, I work on sundays and some evenings so I can’t really get involved in that. I went to church every week until I was like 25 and never met any guys.
