I have met a girl online (eharmony). We finished the introductory questions and now have been emailing each other for the past few days. As it ends up, we went to high school together, but did not know each other all that well. How long should I wait before I ask here for her phone number?

How many emails with online date before real date?

I’m emailing with someone and it is going well, we have sent about 5 each…I’m wondering if there’s a rule of thumb before I ask her for a phone number, or just jump right into asking her out on a date!

It’s hard to tell, don’t want to jump the gun, but also want to strike while the iron is hot.
